Chief Inspector David Acosta, freshly transferred from metropolitan Valencia to rugged Galicia, takes on his first case at the remote office. The workaholic wants to use his transfer to keep in touch with his ex-wife Paola and his 15-year-old daughter. A lead leads David and his team - the experienced detective Adrián Martinz, who is reluctant to submit to his superior, and the self-confident detective Mercédes Navarro - to the mysterious pilgrim Carmelo.
