They are respected everywhere, and the head of the family is very proud of it. But the son Oleksa fell in love with the paramedic Nadya, although he has a wife and Nadya has a child. Father and brothers force Oleksa to leave his mistress. But when it became necessary to transport Nadia's sick daughter on a raft to the hospital to save her from death, it was as if a veil fell from their eyes. They recognized Oleksa and Nadia's right to love.
