Bahar and Polat fall in love. Polat asks Bahar's father for her hand in marriage. However, Ömer has already promised his daughter to Sami, the son of Rasim, the richest man in town. Polat is looked down upon because he is poor. Unable to bear this pain, he sets out to sea to commit suicide. When Ömer learns that Bahar is pregnant with Polat's child, he agrees to give his daughter away. However, the lovers' reunion depends on miracles.
